 It has been hectic helping friends with hurricane Irma recover, benefits for same and paint outs.  Time got away from me.  A workshop reminded of practices we all get very lazy about - especially the value of values.  So-- my new project for when I m waiting somewhere or not in the mood to paint is creating a reference book of value studies.  I taped photos (maybe I'll paint this some day") into a grey toned sketch book and am doing studies on next page or under them.  Wow - now I have a great resource for paintings, working on compositions and vignettes to put in paintings.  Try it!! You will be so glad you did.
