Thank Goodness it was Aluminum!

I have had an EasyL plein air easel for ages.  I decided recently to try something different and bought a Strada Mini.  It packs up nice and small.  It is very light so needs to be weighted in weather.  At the Wekiva Invitational Paint Out as I was reaching for the weights the wind lifted up tripod, easel, paints, etc. over my head and put it at the bottom of the Wekiva River.  Thankfully a young staff member of the island dove multiple times and retrieved.  The fact it was aluminum I was able to drain the water out of it and reset up and start to paint.  Needless to say I am extremely happy with it.
